What’s WindowSight Video Art?
A new way to share your video art directly to users’ TVs worldwide in a large, secure and HQ format.
What’s it like for artists?
Verified artists publish their art on the WindowSight app, people can watch it at home, and artists earn 50% - 60% of subscription fees.
How does the user experience it?
The user selects for how long they want to display each artwork. Then, each clip is played on their TV in a loop for the set amount of time.
WindowSight’s Video Art Classifications
All video art must fit one of the following classifications.
A Videostack is a new classification created by WindowSight to allow artists who don’t work with loopable clips to publish their art on the platform.
When a Videostack is played continuously by the app it creates a loop effect in the spectator.
This way, artists who make video art but not in a loop form, can publish on WindowSight too.
- Format: MP4 (H.264 or H.265)
- Duration: Max 60 seconds
- Resolution: Min (1080×1080 px) / Max (8192×8192 px)
- Bit Rate: Min (16 mbps) / Max (50 mbps)
- Aspect Ratio: Between 21:9 and 9:16
- File size: Max 250 MB
- Field Order: Progressive
- Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1×1 Square
- Sound: it is permitted though the app will not play sound in its first version
