It is not necessary to connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as your TV, or external device.
You can use WindowSight both with mobile data and Wi-Fi.
We strongly recommend using the mobile app with Wi-Fi. It will generally provide a higher percentage of data load.
Most TVs can be connected to the internet using a wireless connection or an Ethernet port. Whenever it’s possible, we recommend using an Ethernet port.
Be aware that the content shown in each app is different, optimized for each device. The mobile app is not directly sending the content to the TV as a mirror connection. Both apps are connected through our servers. That’s why the quality of display on your TV is not the same as the one on your phone.
